Buildaible Release Update – April 21, 2025

Versions: 4.5.44, 4.5.45

We’ve released two updates to bring new features, fix bugs, and enhance your Buildaible experience. Here’s what’s new:

On Your Screen

These are the changes you’ll notice while using Buildaible:

  • Form Builder Sidebar Auto-Closes
    When customizing a form, the App sidebar now closes automatically, keeping your workspace tidy. If it’s already minimized when you reopen the form, it stays that way for a clutter-free experience.

  • Better Filtering with Presets
    Filter presets now work correctly for single-select, multi-select, and date fields, with improved handling for “equals,” “contains,” “does not contain,” and “does not equal” conditions, making it easier to find what you need.

  • Smoother Calendar and Board Views
    Returning to a table in Calendar view no longer prompts you to set it up again, it’s ready to use. Deleted fields in Calendar and Board views now clear properly, avoiding any confusion.

  • Numeric Fields Upgraded
    Numeric fields now support negative numbers, export accurately, and honor decimal place settings (e.g., 2.23456 can be set to show as 2.23). Formatting for commas (like 123,456 instead of 123.456) is fixed, and “Count” summaries show whole numbers without trailing decimals.

  • Easier Dropdown Updates
    Add new options to single and multi-select dropdowns directly while editing—no need to cancel out of the input box anymore.

  • Collapsible Sidebar for a Cleaner Look
    The sidebar now collapses to just icons when minimized, giving you more space to focus. Expand it to see the full app and table names as usual.

  • Resizable and Reorderable Columns
    Drag to resize table columns and save the new width. You can also reorder columns without affecting any grouping—just drag and drop, and the order stays as you set it.

  • Edit Table Reports from Dashboards
    On dashboards, clicking the “Edit Report” button on table reports now shows the existing report instead of a blank screen, making editing seamless.

  • Prompt to Add Fields for New Tables
    When you create a new table, you’ll now be prompted with the “Add Field” modal to help you get started right away.

  • Cleaner User Settings Page
    In the Users Settings page within apps, the columns for active and inactive users are now vertically aligned for a tidier, easier-to-read layout.


Under the Hood

These behind-the-scenes improvements keep Buildaible running smoothly:

  • Improved Sign-Up Workflow
    If a user doesn’t finish signing up, they’ll be brought back to where they left off. Also, logging out with no cookies now directs you to your workspace login page instead of the sign-up page.

  • Better Record Filtering
    We’ve upgraded the backend to improve how records are filtered, ensuring faster and more accurate results when using filter presets.

  • Smarter URL Handling
    App invites now include the workspace ID in the URL, ensuring users are directed to the right place when they join.

  • Fixed Numeric Field Storage
    Numeric fields now store values correctly, even with decimal places, and imports handle full strings accurately.
