Buildaible Release Update – May 13, 2025

Versions: 4.5.52–4.6.1

We’ve released a series of updates to introduce new features, fix bugs, and enhance your Buildaible experience, especially on mobile. Here’s what’s new:

On Your Screen

These are the changes you’ll notice while using Buildaible:

  • Smarter Filters in Tables, Boards, and Calendars
    Filters now work consistently across all views—Table, Board, and Calendar. Previously, a hard reset or search might show all records, even with a filter applied. Now, your filters stay in place, showing only the data you want.

  • Calendar View Improvements
    In Calendar view, the week view heading is now fully visible instead of being cut off. We’ve also removed a brief flash that occurred when selecting a date in a Date field, for a smoother experience.

  • Form Builder Sidebar Moved to the Left
    The Form Builder options are now on the left side (instead of the right), keeping your view consistent while the navigation bar auto-collapses for a cleaner workspace.

  • Form Help Text as Tooltips
    Help text on forms now appears as a tooltip when you hover over the field, instead of displaying below the field name, keeping your forms neat even with longer help text.

  • Date Range Selection Fixed
    Selecting a start date in a Date Range field no longer causes errors, so you can set your dates without issues.

  • Dashboard Builder Sidebar Updates
    The Dashboard Builder options have been moved to the left side, with the navigation bar set to auto-collapse, matching the Form Builder for a consistent and spacious workspace.

  • Better Mobile Experience
    We’ve improved Buildaible on mobile devices with these updates:

    • Apps Page: Defaults to a card view on mobile for easier reading, with the list view hidden.

    • Table Navigation: Opening a table now takes just one click, and reports/dashboards are hidden in the mobile sidebar for a simpler view.

    • Tables: Tables on mobile now show the first three fields after basic metadata by default, so you won’t see a blank table. If you’ve made a field selection, we’ll use that instead. Tables with grouping will either show the grouping field or ignore grouping to avoid blank rows.

    • Forms: The “Cancel” button now works properly when adding a new record, not just when editing.

    • User Profile: The mobile user profile page is now simpler, focusing on essentials—photo update, name/email, profile details, and save/cancel buttons—removing extra tabs like roles and favorites for a smoother experience.

  • Kanban Board UI Update
    We’ve adjusted the padding above the search bar on Kanban Boards to match the look of Table Home and Calendar views, ensuring a consistent design.

  • New Template App Center
    Create new apps easily with our new Template App Center! Choose from a list of ready-made app templates, and with a few clicks, set up a new app to start using right away.

  • More Info in Table Settings
    For Primary Lookup and Lookup fields in the Table Settings page, you’ll now see the source table and source field listed, making it easier to understand where your data is coming from. We’ve also shifted the “Description” field slightly to the right to make room for this.

Under the Hood

These behind-the-scenes improvements keep Buildaible running smoothly:

  • Improved Template App Setup We’ve upgraded the backend to support the new Template App Center, ensuring that when you select a template, your new app is created quickly and correctly.
